Miranda Duncker Acupuncture

About Miranda

Having studied Chinese medical philosophy since the age of 18 I was led to try acupuncture and herbal medicine for my own health problems. The results were both dramatic and lasting, and this in turn led me to undertake a four-year, full time B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the International College of Oriental Medicine in East Grinstead. The course covered not only oriental medicine, but also involved extensive training in western medicine; anatomy, physiology, and pathology giving graduates the benefit of being able to understand conditions in terms of both medical systems.

I also have a particular interest in Chinese dietary therapy and in addition to my degree have studied Macrobiotics both in London and at the Kushi Institute in the Netherlands.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the governing body for acupuncture in the UK, guaranteeing an approved standard of training, hygiene and safety and I carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance cover.
